I recently bought a pinto covered in trailer for work. The quality and the construction stands out as NZ made. When I picked up the trailer the staff were very helpful. I noticed the roof rack had not been installed on the trailer. They had a new set made and sent to me in Wellington in quick time. Its about the after sales service right!
I love it, and would recommend :-)
I’ve had my Pinto trailer since 2006 — it’s my first and only trailer, and it’s still going strong! Same ply deck, only the second set of tyres, and it’s lived outside the entire time.
What sold me originally was the build quality. The drawbar runs right through to the axle — unlike others that are just welded to the tray. It’s a solid bit of kit. The 1.6m drawbar also makes backing super easy, and the galvanising has stood the test of time, nearly 20 years on.
Highly recommend Pinto trailers — built NZ tough and built to last.
I did heaps of research before buying my Pinto trailer and it’s proven to be every bit as good as I expected.
NZ-made trailers are built tough for local roads and weather, with quality materials and parts you can easily service. Buying local also supports Kiwi businesses and jobs.
Think about what you’ll carry, your vehicle’s towing capacity, and where you’ll be driving. NZ law allows trailers up to 3,500kg on a standard licence, but your vehicle may tow less. Our team can guide you to the best size and style for your needs.
Most NZ trailers use steel, aluminium, or galvanised steel for strength and rust protection. At Pinto, we also use birch hardwood ply decks for extra durability. Prices start from $2,450 (as of July 2023), with options to suit every budget or build.
Yes! From racks and cages to deck size and storage options, we can build to suit your work, lifestyle, or fleet. Build times range from 3 weeks for simple jobs to a few months for complex custom trailers.
Most NZ-made trailers include a warranty. At Pinto, we stand by our craftsmanship with an industry-leading 10-year warranty on every trailer.
